Stuck in Limbo

Another lesson I learned is that things change, and they change fast.

The original plan had two possibilities: after rehearsals I was to either remain on the US tour OR I was going to have a month break and then join the rehearsals for the International tour in Australia for a month and then tour Korea and Europe.

Unfortunately neither of those happened. What happened is that the promoter in Korea didn't keep up their end of the contract, forcing the tour to pull all 9 weeks of shows there. Which now means that the International tour wasn't going to officially kick off until July with rehearsals taking place in June. Some of the original performers, who were planning on going to the International tour, took that as an opportunity to take a nice long break - they had been out on tour for over 2 years! It also meant that some of the other original performers were staying now until the rehearsals began in June ~ why take a break and not get payed?

How this all effected me was that the person who normally performs the role I learned, was one of the few who decided to stay. Which meant that I had no where to go ~ but back home ~ to wait.

As of right now, I don't have a return date. Some things need to be ironed out. It's all speculation right now, but it's looking like I won't be playing with the dinos again until some time in May.

Well that's a bugger, having an unplanned vacation so soon, you were just getting in the swing of things. :(

Hope you get a call sooner than later.

As for hits on your blog, do you see visits or do they have to leave a comment?

I left one on the Dec 30 blog but I guess it did not make it past moderation ;)
