Up until now, I've been left to guess when I'll be returning. There's lots of pieces to this puzzle and the company won't give me an official date until many other things are also official. (European tour offers, US contract renewals etc) I'm not upset over playing the waiting game, frustrated, but not upset...it is Korea's fault after all.
Last night, one of my friends who's out on the tour, emailed to fill me in on some of the scoop that's been floating around. I'm happy to report that my speculating seems to be on the right track. Looks like I'll be back in the saddle towards the end of April.
My logic is this:
- The first performance date for the European tour is July 1
- The tour will have a month of rehearsals before the opening date
- The Aussies who are leaving for the European tour (the ones I'm waiting on to take their place) want to have a few weeks off before starting rehearsals
- The company plans on bringing me back to the tour for a few weeks before the Aussies leave so that I can brush up on the show
Yeah, some of it's cloudy ~ how long is a 'few weeks'?? But my guesses zeroed me in to a time frame of mid-April/beginning of May. Turns out I was right.
It's still a ways off. But it'll be worth the wait. :)
